About Ryan

Ryan Mantell is a New Jersey-based saxophonist, teacher, arranger, and technician. He has taught instrumental music in New Jersey at all levels K-12 and maintains a private studio of saxophone students. In 2014, Ryan established the North Jersey Youth Saxophone Ensemble, creating a unique chamber ensemble experience for high school-aged saxophonists. He is an active performer in New Jersey and New York, playing saxophone regularly for the New Jersey Wind Symphony, Cobalt Quartet, and the Megalopolis Saxophone Orchestra. Ryan has created arrangements for saxophones, many of which have been performed by both professional and student ensembles. He offers services in saxophone repair and mouthpiece refacing.
Ryan received his Master of Music degree in Saxophone Performance from Rutgers University and his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with Performance Honors from Syracuse University.
